Lots and Lots of Progress!

We have wood floors:

Transition between the hallway and front bedroom.  This is the same flooring but the reddish one was finished and the other one was not.

Middle Bedroom and hall - again all the same would, just lack of polyurethane

We also have some tile (as of yesterday):

The top sheet is for the laundry room floor and the bottom for the bathroom floorss

The showers will be the white subway tile with a  beauty stripe of the square tiles

Old Pictures of Our House

Our neighbor grew up in the house next door to ours and gave us the following pictures of our house.

The first picture is when he was just a few days home from the hospital - that is our house in the background.

The second was when he was about 10 - the building on the right is the back of our house.

We currently have one giant willow oak tree next to the house - there were two until last year when one died.  There used to be at least two more in the back yard.  The last picture shows the front of our house and the remains of one of those backyard trees.  The house looks almost the same now - except for the fake shutters.

The floors in the living room and two front bedrooms will look like this - eventually.  The reddish shade is from the aging of the polyurethane - not sure how long it will take to turn this color....

Last year all the zucchini were killed by squash borers - this year they are giant.

Here it is again - there are two rows of tomatoes and two of peppers behind it!  (and my beans have sprouted - they are in the front of the picture)

Almost Walls

Not too much photo-worthy progress as of late.  But here are the walls - almost.  Sheet rock will begin next week.
